Xiaomi, traditionally known for its smartphones and electronics, entered the electric vehicle (EV) market with the launch of the SU7 sedan in March 2024. Developed by Xiaomi Auto, a subsidiary established in 2021, the SU7 is produced in collaboration with BAIC Motor Group.

The vehicle is available in multiple versions, including the standard SU7, SU7 Pro, and the high-performance SU7 Max. The SU7 features a sleek design with a low drag coefficient of 0.195, and is equipped with advanced technologies such as a 16.1-inch 3K touchscreen, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8295 chipset, and Xiaomi’s HyperOS operating system. The SU7 is built on an 800-volt electrical architecture and offers various battery options, with capacities up to 101 kWh. Performance varies across models, with the SU7 Max boasting dual motors delivering a combined 495 kW (664 horsepower) and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.78 seconds.

The vehicle’s range also varies, with the SU7 Max offering up to 770 km on a single charge. In October 2024, the high-performance SU7 Ultra was introduced, achieving a top speed of 350 km/h and accelerating to 100 km/h in under two seconds. This model has received significant attention, with over 3,600 orders within ten minutes of presale.
