Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has officially launched the Next Generation Tamaraw, reviving an iconic nameplate in a modern, multifunctional form. Simultaneously unveiled in eight locations nationwide, the Tamaraw’s relaunch showcased its adaptability for both personal and commercial use, reflecting Toyota’s focus on transformative mobility.

Known for its durability, the Tamaraw now caters to evolving demands with multiple configurations tailored for business and everyday use. Locally manufactured at TMP’s plant in Santa Rosa, Laguna, the vehicle remains true to its roots while introducing modern enhancements. Built on Toyota’s global IMV platform, the Next-Gen Tamaraw retains its trusted DNA. It comes in diesel and gas variants, powered by efficient engines designed to handle heavy-duty tasks.
During the launch, TMP showcased various configurations, including the Dropside, Utility Van, and Aluminum Cargo, with retail starting in 2025. Special conversions such as an Ambulance, Camper RV, and Food Truck highlight the Tamaraw’s flexibility to meet diverse needs. TMP President Masando Hashimoto emphasized the importance of customer feedback in shaping the Tamaraw. “The possibilities for this vehicle are endless, embodying our vision: Abante, Posible,” he said.

Starting at PHP 937,000 for the 2.4 Dropside DSL variant, the Tamaraw offers competitive pricing. A gas-powered variant, set to launch soon, will start below PHP 800,000, making it accessible to a broader market.
To enhance ownership, TMP partnered with Toyota Financial Services for flexible payment schemes and simplified insurance options. Maintenance is affordable, with discounts on Periodic Maintenance Services.
The Tamaraw is more than a vehicle; it’s a solution for MSMEs, local governments, and logistics providers. TMP offers end-to-end services, from purchase to conversion and maintenance, ensuring a seamless experience for customers.
By combining affordability, innovation, and versatility, the Next Generation Tamaraw is set to empower Filipinos and drive progress for years to come.
